It's time for the Open Farm Day!
Salt City Harvest Farm (SCHF) is a community farm with a great variety of produce grown by New American refugee farmers. Here you will find tomatoes next to Asian long beans, or watermelon next to bitter melon or a great variety of chili peppers all of which reflect the cultural heritage of groups from Bhutan, Congo, Somalia, Ertrea and Burma who now are part of the New American community. The farm provides training for New Americans to develop their own farm operation. There is also an orchard and small vineyard to stroll through. SCHF is a non-profit organization.
