ARISE at the Farm
ARISE at the Farm is accessible, inclusive 77-acre working horse farm. Focused on the needs and interests of individuals with disabilities, the non-profit Farm offers a variety of programs including adaptive horseback riding, recreation day programs, accessible fishing pond, accessible playground, indoor riding arena and walking track. The Farm is a place where everyone regardless of disability has the power to make life choices and achieve their dreams. Tour this beautiful facility, see the animals, play on the playground, purchase ARISE at the Farm items. Pony rides available for children for small donation.

SUNY Morrisville Dairy Complex
Commercial dairy operation on the SUNY Morrisville College campus. The facility houses 165 milking cows and their youngstock, mainly registered Holsteins, with a mix of color breeds and crossbreeds as well. The main function of this farm is to serve as a real-life learning laboratory for students in our dairy and related agricultural programs, providing them the opportunity to learn how to properly care for and manage the animals on a dairy farm. It also serves as an opportunity for community members to visit and learn more about how milk is produced on many commercial dairy operations in the US.

Devine Gardens is a 70-acre regenerative farm in the Town of Nelson, NY. We have a rotational grass based herd of Dexter cattle. Their manure and bedding are used to make contaminant free, nutrient & microbe rich vermicompost, Super Grow, and compost. Tours of the worm operation will show how we make vermicompost. For children there will be an activity area including a live worm table. View our cows with their newly born calves. Vermicompost & Super Grow along with our delicious beef will be available for sale. Also, worms may be ordered ahead of time for pickup.

Durfee’s Stand and Tuscarora Dairy
The Durfee family has farmed on Tuscarora Rd on Chittenango since 1946. Today the 4th generation runs this farm, with the 5th generation learning. 900 dairy cows are milked and cared for in a modern operation. There is also a roadside vegetable stand! Explore the components of a Longstroth Bee Hive and the 3 types of bees that reside in the beehive. Honeybees will visit over 2 million blossoms to collect the nectar to convert it to just one pound of honey in their short life span of 30-45 days. There are over 300 varieties of honey being the premier pollinator for 80 percent of our nation’s 1/3 food supply. Sample our local honey, creme honey, and various honey roasted nuts and seeds. Visitors 21 and over can sample the “Nectar of Gods”, called mead (honey wine).

Brownson Family Farm
Brownson Family Farm is a small family run farm specializing in homegrown produce. Nestled on the fertile banks of the Chittenango Creek, our farm boasts delicious fruits and vegetables. At the farm we grow numerous greens, inclusive of lettuce, swiss chard, collard greens, kale, and more. In addition we have a wide variety of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, green/yellow beans, zucchini, yellow squash, winter squashes, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, sweet corn, watermelons, cantaloupe, raspberries, asparagus, garlic, herbs, and more. All of this produce reap the rewards of the fertile soil. The sweet corn alone is worth the drive our to the farm. While at the farm take some time to look over our many jams, jellies, preserves, and mustards that we have in store. In addition we have ground beef, sausage, bacon, and breakfast sausage.

Our farm is a unique combination of a working flower farm and greenhouse/nursery business. We grow annual and perennial flowers for fresh cutting. Old Home Distillers
Old Home Distillers is a family owned and operated farm distillery in Lebanon, NY. Operated by brothers/co-distillers Aaron and Adam Carvell, Old Home has produced distilled spirits fermented from 100% NY grown ingredients since 2015. The farm also grows unique heirloom produce for use in the spirits, including herbs and botanicals, hot peppers, estate apples, maple syrup, and more. Products include whiskeys, bourbons, gins, and a variety of experimental and seasonal releases. Self-guided tours, spirit tasting, and bottle sales will be available and a food truck will be on the premises.

7 Trees Dairy Goats
7 Trees Dairy is a fully functional seasonal goat dairy located in Perryville, NY. From our herd of Saanen goats we produce several products including aged cheeses, semi-hard and soft cheeses, as well as fetas and cheese curds. We also use milk to make lotion and soap. Every spring we welcome dozens of goat kids that allow our milk production to begin. During the summer we are busy making cheese, attending local farmers markets, and caring for our goats. We welcome visitors to our farm to enjoy our goats, visit our cheese room and store, and experience fresh made goat cheese.

Critz Farms is an award winning agritourism business located just south of Cazenovia. Family owned and operated, this diversified farm also operates the Critz Farms Brewing & Cider Co. offering handcrafted beer and cider from crops grown on the farm. Open to visitors March to December, the farm features a variety of activities and events including pick your own apples, pumpkins, blueberries, and Christmas trees. The farm also produces maple syrup, sweet apple cider, and holiday wreaths in season. Dizzy Lizzie’s Farm is a NOFA-NY Certified Organic woman-owned family farm in Madison County, NY that turns our farm fresh produce into an array of high-quality micro-batch value-added products (spices, jams, relish, frozen pestos, and candied peppers). Come see the herd! Empire Buffalo is home to a herd of around 50 bison. On Open Farm Day, we’ll have animals in the upper pasture and owner Joe Lazarsky will be at the fence line to answer questions. His wife, and co-owner, Aileen Randolph will be at the meat freezers ready to talk recipes. Low in fat and cholesterol, but high in protein and iron, bison meat is great tasting, and good for you. We will have samples to try, meat to buy, and lunch available. This summer, we will be open on the farm every Saturday, and by appointment, for meat sales. Local Roots Farm is a family farm that produces a wide variety of vegetables, maple syrup, eggs, pastured chicken and beef, all available at our Farm Store. The New York Mushroom Company is a local Veteran-owned family farm in Lebanon, committed to growing and producing the finest organic gourmet mushrooms in CNY. Johnston’s Honeybee Farm
Johnston’s Honeybee Farm is a 300 beehive operation that produces bees (nucs), queens, honey (processed and raw), and pure beeswax candles. On Open Farm Day we will demonstrate candle making in our downstairs store and possibly honey extracting (if we have been able to harvest honey by then) in our gravity flow honey house.
